More Lost Radio Tapes....
Digging through the muck I found a tape labeled
"WSGA News utility tape"

I put it on the old Akai tape deck and the first thing I heard was a self-made promo for Peter Garrett, newsman. When the promo ended a taped  letter took over. It was a message on 1/4inch tape from Howie Castle, then at WOLF in Syracuse, to WSGA music director Jerry Rogers.

The tape included WSGA intros voiced by Howie, and a couple of  airchecks featuring Howie Castle doing seven to midnight on WOLF and Chris Kay doing mornings on WOLF.

Peter Garrett and I were roommates back then and I figure he must have picked up this tape, cut his promo and then brought the tape home.   The promo never made it on the air, but the tape made it through the decades...

From another tape I have Peter getting drunk on the Jerry Rogers show. It's was a safety promotion for New Year's 1973-74. It's long, but has a lot of Jerry Rogers and various guests, plus the countdown of the Top 100 of the year.
Enjoy.
