The Goodtimer Radio Pages
Disc Jockey radio from the mid 50's through the early 80's

Did you ever hide under the bedsheets with a transistor radio listening to AM stations from faraway,

For me it was WLS and WCFL from Chicago, WHAS in Louisville, WLW, and WWL and many more. Plus a whole other group of stations came in during the day. Here at Tybee we got WAPE and WPDQ from Jacksonville, WTMA from Charleston and from, Savannah WSGA, The Goodtimer.rmlogo.gif (1267 bytes)

For as long as I can remember I wanted to be the guy on the radio... and my first on air  job was at WBYGrmlogo.gif (1267 bytes) in Savannah, it was the summer of 1970 and I was 16 years old.

Lyndy on WBYG. This is from New Year's Weekend 1970-71. Other voices include Al Jennings, and Dickey Lingle on the movie commercial.
NEW VERSION- no more skips and now starts with a bit of news from the Mutual Broadcasting System.
